With the war in Minoc over but another conflict looming, The Guardsmen Militia needs new blood and new fodder to fill the gaps left behind by our fallen or retiring comrades. It would seem that war isn't in fashion anymore and good old military service isn't really attractive to the youngsters of today, so we must work harder to bolster our ranks.
In order to accomplish this I present to you: The Guardsmen Militia's Reinforcement Campaign.
The Guardsmen Militia's Reinforcement Campaign will see guardsmen battle it out to become the Militia's best recruiter, with the winner earning a prize of a Recruitment Ribbon, as well as the choice between 500,000 gold or the opportunity to add a 115 powerscroll of their choice to their Copper Record for free, there will also be additional prizes for members who place 2nd and 3rd.
The campaign will operate on a points system, with the winner being the person who accumulates the most points at the end of the allotted time period.
Ways to gain points
* Placing banners and recruitment books at popular locations (moongates, banks, dungeons, shops etc) and evidence posted in the Permanent Banner Task 3 thread) - 5 points per banner
* Recruiting and advertising The Guardsmen Militia on other forums and message boards via a poster or whatever you deem appropriate with a link provided to the evidence - 15 points
* Running a recruitment themed event (training at a popular location, recruitment parade etc) with a report posted in this thread - 15 points
* Recruiting a new player to The Guardsmen Militia (not an existing Militia player - with screenshot evidence posted of recruitment efforts in this thread) - 50 points plus copper bonuses
If you attempt a method of recruitment not covered in the above categories then post a report in this thread and we will judge and award on a case-by-case basis.
The Guardsmen Militia's Reinforcement Campaign will begin on the 17th of July 2008 and end on the 1st of August 2008.
You will be kept abreast of any developments and scores will be updated on a regular basis.
So get out there and find us some recruits!
