Task 1 - Produce a detailed report on the latest stage of the invasion

Having seen a slew of reports on Yew, I decided I would survey Skara Brae, a fellow Loyalist city. The night was quiet as I strode to the bank, plunked a few copper in the chest and--turned on a most disturbing scene:

Citizens running from shops in droves, blind in panic (yelling at the air or often me). Even after felling their attackers they refused to flee or clam down; not only that, but they, untrained peasants, fiercely fought the invading beasts, often tackling a huge earth elemental with bare fists!

Where Trinsic must contend with orc and Yew with Daemons, this city was harried by elementals of all kind--water, air, fire, and poison (but no acid). There were, like every city, human soldiers who wore dark plate or chain, some so strong they could toe-to-toe a newt.

Speaking of newts... My curiosity was piqued as well-equipped travelers and myself routed the enemy; I wondered to myself if this town would suffer one of the fabled Crimson Dragons--if it would show itself at the invasion's end.

The newt fought savagely and long, and it fell as the others did. In the end, I find Skara to be more dangerous than Trinsic and the invaders just as numerous as the Daemons in Yew. It's a deadly combination, for many Guards are overly confident with elementals, but when one encounters a street full of them, it is best to turn and regroup.

A Day at the Races

Me second task were simple: create ah fun, safe an' non-combat event fer all lads and ladies. I figured, since Mondays were lazy an' typically topped off with tavern night, I'd spice it up just this once with exercise routinin' and a quick race to the brigand fort an' back.

The race would go along the southern road from the crossroads, an' the first four winners were to receive a huge pile of prizes...

The whole thing was mighty fun an' seein' folks run about like headless Vesperians was enough to quench my battle-thirst. Kevin got first place, an' Aries, Tim, an' Tanya placed behind him (not sure their order). Wilkes believed he also was a winner, and helped himself amongst the pile of prizes. Since I'm trying to get promoted, I won't argue if the Sarge nabs some of the loot.

Addendum

As mah first task were nae long enough, I decided to add on some exercises a few days later. The poor fellows were mighty tired an' dull from the invasions, but I figured a good bit of the ol' touch-yer-toes and hold-em-logs would get their muscles back in action.

The exercise were an hour-long spectacle. Began with basic line exercises like toe-touch, runnin' in place, then I got them to hold some lawgs. After they struggled with the logs I set them to do some laps around the Keep, then push-ups.

They were warmed up, I figured, and let them partner up and stretch out their legs and other cramps they mighta got. We then did a longer jog, this time nae around the Keep but to the east outpost.

After that, Kevin had the idea of swimming in the waters northwest of the Keep, though only he and I ended up doing it. Annwyn seemed deathly afraid of the cold depths, while Richards and Fraser could only watch as we dived in.

All in all, an invigoratin' an' chilly workout!
