Born in the forests of Yew of mother Sheena Strayler and father Dirk Renegade.
Dirk was Sheena second husband, after the first, Derreck Strayler died mysteriously in Malas.

Although very young, only in his very early twenties, he has a remarkable talent for using a bow.

His bloodlust sometimes takes over in the heat of battle, leaving no room for archery, to which end he now also handles any Fencing weapon he can get his hands on, however prefers a Warfork.

Although no-one except Maarek was used to fighting, both Mike's parents have always blamed Maarek for leading Mike from the path of cooking to the one of war.
Mike always insisted it is his own choice, but this voice was never heard... except by Maarek!

When Dirk and Sheena relocated themselves to Zento a few years ago, Mike stayed behind, as he figures his fighting abilities would not be helpful to them in their shopkeepers lives.
To this very day, Mike has not once thought twice about that decision.
However, in stead of his parental home, he decided to strengthen himself physically by selling that home and live in the woods and off the land.
That course of action has given him some insight on life in the wilderness, as far as possible as the woods of Yew have always been relatively safe thanks to the Guardsmen Militia.
