Ranks and Equipment

The Militia life is a tough one. As guardsmen battle their way through the ranks they gain greatly in skill and experience. This is represented through the use of equipment with better resists and superior ore types. Each rank is assigned a PR limit and an ore type, which applies to their armour only, if ore type is to be upgraded for armour, weapons or shields, they must be upgraded separately.

Guardsmen

Trainee - 45 PR - Iron
Footman - 50 PR - Bronze
Rookie - 55 PR - Agapite
Accepted - 60 PR - Verite
Veteran - 65 PR - Verite
Corporal - 65 PR - Valorite
Sergeant & Above - 70 PR - Valorite

Besiegers

Besiegers are the most heavily armoured guardsmen in all the Militia. Enclosed in plate they are walls of steel. To represent this Besiegers are permitted to use the PR limit which is one above their normal rank. For example a Rookie Besieger would use the PR limit of an Accepted Guard.
Special rules apply to Veteran Besiegers.

Waywatchers

Waywatchers are the scouts, spies and assassins of the Militia. In their light leather armour they move with grace, stealth and silence. To represent their lighter armour Waywatchers have their own armour guidelines.

Rookie - 50 PR - Barbed
Accepted - 55 PR - Barbed
Veteran & Above - 60 PR - Barbed
Lieutenant - 70 PR - Barbed

Marksmen

A Marksman is no more heavily or lightly armoured than the average guardsmen. Instead a Marksman's specialty lies in his weapon. For this reason Marksmen are permitted to use Yew or Oak woods for the creation of their weapons.

Citizen Armour

Underclass - 45 PR - Iron/Normal leather
Working Class - 55 PR - Agapite/Barbed
Bourgeoisie Class - 65 PR - Verite/Barbed
Prestige Class - 70 PR - Valorite/Barbed
