I was doing my usual rounds and seeing who and what was about when I ran into very strange occupants at the capital. What appears to be a wide-spread army of armor-clad men has taken up residency in the evenings, killing the fearful civilians. Though I previously thought that they had an infection of the mind (and perhaps the ones that attack or steal from us do), it may just be madness from the stress. The desperation to escape danger may have driven people to steal, to run from even helping hands... I can only guess.

The sample of one of the apparently-corrupted citizens of Yew that roam the graveyards was sent to an alchemist, because I thought that they would have a capable enough grasp of science to make optimum use of the sample - marrow, blood, bone, fingernails (dead tissue?) and all. However, there was absolutely nothing outwardly amiss with the man. This establishes a few things:
- The apparent ail with the green-tinted citizens of Yew (and Moonglow, Vesper, Cove, Jhelom, others) is not a disease, a plague, or otherwise.
- The people are not being corrupted on an individual level, or there would be some sign of foul play; whole hordes of people are being affected.
- The people are not dead, and are likely not acting of their own will, or having present thoughts.
After the daemons of various sorts had torn through Yew for a while, a dragon came about. The dragon leveled a paralyzing glare before I even got close enough to engage it.
I'll keep reporting things as I see them but this is a considerable threat.
