History

Gabriel was born in Skara Brae shortly after his mother left Cove after divorcing Gabriel's father, a veteran soldier in the Covian Baron's Army. His mother desperate to give her son a proper upbringing threw herself at the first man that gave her a second glance. Claudius Mondego was that man, a wealthy aristocrat that owned a large jewel industry. Mondego mines and workshops could be found throughout Sosaria creating the finest jewelery worn by Sosaria's wealthiest inhabitants.

Gabriel was raised by Claudius and Anette without any interference from his true father, until his thirteenth birthday when Hrothgar De'Mar showed up in Skara Brae. Hrothgar was a decorated soldier and had been a fighting man since he was but a child and had no interest in seeing his son becoming a stuck up noble child with a silver spoon in his mouth.

Hrothgar approached Gabriel that day and ever since then, six times a year he would come to Skara Brae and spend a week training his son in the way of the warrior. At the age of twenty five Gabriel stood at the Skara Brae dockyard awaiting his father's arrival but alas he was dissapointed to find a stranger's face emerge from the ship he believed to be his father's. The stranger approached Gabriel handing him a sealed envelope before stepping back on board the vessel.

The letter within the envelope had instructions from Hrothgar written on it, according to the letter he wanted Gabriel to gather Hrothgar's most sacred belongings found in his room at the Skara Brae Inn..

His jewel engraved ceremonial sword given to him by the Baron of Cove, his highly decorated sash, his cap and the iron arms he wore throughout his career as well as a box of authentic jewelry. Gabriel was supposed to take these items to Yew and give them to a man named Henry Lumbard, a warrior of the Guardsmen Militia. At the bottom of the letter were written the words.. 'In Yew shall you find the next chapter of your life..'
