The Revised Kings Law, 6th Edition

Petty Crimes

Adultery, Anyone caught committing adultery can be punished by up-to 20 lashes, if repeat offense, can be punished by exile depending on severity.

Burglary, Anyone caught for burglary can be fined up-to ten times the value of the items stolen and for any repairs, if repeat offense, Can be punished by State Service & Imprisonment.

Failing to obey a Guardsman's command, Any civilian refusing to obey the commands of a guardsman can be punished by a period in the stocks, A fine of up-to 250 copper, 2500 Crowns, Or imprisonment.

Failure to pay taxes, Failing to pay taxes may result in up-to ten times the tax being charged, possessions being seized or a period in prison whilst clearing their State Debt.

Killing of Livestock, Anyone caught killing livestock will be punished by anything up-to a period in prison.

Loitering on the highway, Anyone caught loitering will be put in the stocks for a period of time.

Poaching, Anyone caught poaching the King's Deer will be punished by a fine of up-to 500 copper, 5000 Crowns or up-to 20 lashes. In the cases of repeat offenses, the punishment is Imprisonment and State Service.

Rustling, Anyone caught rustling livestock will be punished by Imprisonment and repayment to the state through State Service.

Theft, Anyone caught stealing the property of another will be fined up-to five times the value of the item, if repeat offense, punishment may vary between branding or loss of extremity

Trespassing, Anyone caught trespassing will be punished by up-to twenty lashes, If repeat offense a period in prison.

Serious Crimes

Armed robbery, Anyone caught committing armed robbery is punishable by a fine of up-to fifteen times the items attempted/taken, twenty lashes and imprisonment, if repeat offense, punishable by prolonged periods of State Service and Imprisonment..

Arson, Anyone caught committing arson will be punished by burning at the stake.

Assault on a Guardsman, Anyone assaulting a guardsman will be punished by imprisonment, thirty lashes, all assets seized, If repeat offense, Punishable by exile.

Common Assault, Anyone caught brawling will be punished by up-to ten lashes or a period in prison.

Highway robbery, Anyone committing Highway robbery, will be punished by a fine of up-to twenty five times the items taken, Twenty five lashes, imprisonment, If repeat offense, punishable by State Service or ultimately Exile.

Kidnapping, Anyone accused of kidnapping will be tried by a council of their peers and punishment set accordingly.

Murder, Anyone accused of committing murder will tried by a council of their peers and punishment set accordingly.

Serious Assault, Anyone caught seriously injuring another citizen, will be punished with imprisonment and up-to twenty lashes, If repeat offense, punishable by additional periods of imprisonment and State Service.

Terrorism, Anyone caught using explosives, propaganda or other means to cause civil unrest or terror among the population will be tried a council of their peers and punished accordingly.

Treason, See The Treason Act.

Violent Assault, Anyone caught assaulting another citizen with a weapon will be punished by imprisonment, twenty lashes, and all assets seized. If repeat offense, punishable by Lengthy periods of State service & Imprisonment, Ultimately punishable by Exile.

Martial Law, When in effect

Assault upon Guardsman, Anyone assaulting a Guardsman during Martial law will be punished by imprisonment and up to fifty lashes, If repeat offense, punishable by exile or trial under The Treason Act.

Breach of curfew, Anyone breaching curfew whilst under marital law will be placed in the stocks for a period, if repeat offense, Punishable by imprisonment.

Failing to obey commands, Anyone failing to obey commands of a Guardsman during Martial law will be punished by imprisonment, if repeat offencs, maybe punishable under The Treason Act.

Trespassing, Anyone caught trespassing during Martial law will be punished by imprisonment, If trespassing on military ground, maybe punishable under The Treason Act.

The Treason Act

During peace time, Anyone deemed to be committing treason will have an investigation carried out either publicly or covertly, When enough evidence is gathered to found solid suspicions the suspected traitor will be detained and a council of their peers will try them, The council shall set punishment accordingly.

During war time or under Martial law, Anyone deemed to be committing an act of treason or repeated acts to raise concerns of treason will be detained whilst an investigation is carried out, once finished the suspected traitor will be tried by a council of their peers and punishment set accordingly.
