Navaska Tenne

Full Name: Navaska Tenne

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral

Age: Early twenties

Appearance:

With long, scruffy, split-ended hair tied back loosely into an uneven ponytail, Navaska’s appearance is far from that of a ‘respectable’ individual.
His clothing and armour bear the scars of numerous stains and stabbings, however these pale in comparison to the scars visible across his body.
A deep-set scar winds its way up from the palm of his left hand to his shoulder, only slightly obscured along the way by both his armour padding and the mysterious green eye tattoo that sits atop his arm like a hawk, observing all around him.

Reminders of the past are forever etched into his tanned skin, the chief of these being the torn remains of his left ear lobe, the teeth-marks still clearly visible.

The tattoo bears more similarities to Navaska’s own mannerisms than you would first imagine, with bright blue eyes always surveying the scene, forever adjusting and then re-adjusting, always aware and always prepared.
At around average height with a slim but toned build, Navaska possesses the reactions of a bird of prey and the posture of a stalking assassin, still he is most often found with an endearingly trademark grin and always he is prone to outbursts of “WOO!”as he sends four angry adversaries the wrong way during a pursuit.

Personality:

Navaska’s mind may at first seem somewhat warped, being a little eccentric both in his appearance and manner.
However, when alone he is substantially more grounded than you would otherwise believe.
Social skills are something Navaska has few of, still he tries his best to get on with everyone, even if his views and opinions are often regarded as bizarre, extreme and sometimes even worrying, what can you expect from someone who actually chooses to live in a tree house?
With little need for worldly wealth, Navaska embraces all aspects of nature, often found smothered in dirt, leaves or even the blood of his latest kill, Navaska has grown up with little to no possessions and after realising he could survive without, he sees no reason to begin hoarding them now.

His profession is something he takes very seriously and revels in his own successes, always attempting to better himself and improve his talents. While some may find the concept of assassination a brutal and underhanded method, Navaska considers it an art form and has dedicated much of his life to perfecting his kills.
Still, the Waywatchers are not purely assassins and Navaska has grudgingly accepted that he cannot always be slashing the throats of hapless Covians and instead sometimes he must merely spy upon them for the benefit of ‘intelligence gathering’, a job Navaska hates, after all he isn’t “The Greatest Assassin in the North” for nothing.

Background:

Navaska was born and raised in a sleazy bordello just outside the city of Minoc. The son of a whore, Navaska was rarely the object of attention from his often restricted mother and spent much of his time scampering around in the nearby woodland, picking the pockets of foolish nobles and sneaking in on brothel customers' private sessions, merely to laugh. A short while after Navaska’s tenth birthday, his mother vanished from Minoc, taking his little sister with her and leaving Navaska to fend for himself.
Soon he found himself the member of a child-gang, a Fagin style group who had links deeper into the underworld than any of them could comprehend.
Rising through the ranks of the Minocan criminal element, Navaska grudgingly fell for a fellow thief.
However, their relationship was short lived, betrayed for the extension of her career, Navaska found himself outcast from his former home and began working as a contracted scout for the local Militia.
Two years later, a transfer to Yew came calling and the rest as they say is history.
Since his transfer to Yew, Navaska has been through a lot, training multiple recruits into fully-fledged Waywatchers, falling deeply in love with his student Floria and marrying the unlikely Waywatcher after a brief engagement.
Now a father to their first child, Laken and re-united with his mother and sister, Navaska is struggling to form an identity which incorporates both the devastating assassin and the doting family man.

Motivation:

Navaska has few motivations in life, other than to keep training Waywatchers to replace those who are killed in action and to maintain some semblance of balance for his young family.
Navaska would perhaps one day like to gain the recognition he feels he deserves for his services but is seemingly happy to continue slaughtering the enemies of Yew all in the pursuit of justice and peace.

Quotes:

“Come ‘ere you c*nt!”

(To an Advocate) “Yes Dad!”
