I'm nay sure why we have to mollycoddle our farmers, after all there are more o' them than us, but Captain Dart sent Kain Raslo to get wheat seed and he conscripted me fer the job.

Armed wi' scythes, we travelled to the outskirts o' Britain where they specialise in wheat farming. Finding a farm where the farmer was luckily absent, we harvested a large stack.

It was hot work, and uncomfortable - I can see why farmers dinna wear armour! We loaded ourselves up and headed home, deciding to do the threshing in the workshop. We beat that grain fer hours, but at last we had freed the seed wheat, which we swept into a barrel. I left the straw in the workshop, it'll do to stuff trainees' bedrolls.

Raslo took charge o' the seed barrel and we went fer a well-earned ale. The seed was handed over to the Captain, and at last I was free to get the itchy bits out o' my underwear.

I was sent with Smit and Young to collect dirt. We decided elementals would have mineral-rich soil, and then Smit had to collect 'wet dirt' from the swamps (fertile and full of life) and Young had me collect 'fluffy earth' or something. We brought it back and delivered it to Stonekeep for distribution.

Young led, Smit did the picture.
