I was ordered by Corporal Tenne to remove my uniform and pile on as much clothing as I could possibly fit, in order to see if I would be able to stomach the heat associated with running around in leather all day. When I went to the tailor's shop, I got as much clothing as I could fit (all of it much too large), and also bought several yards of cloth to wrap around myself under the clothing, further padding my limbs and body.
I won't lie and say I handled it well. It was the hottest I've ever been, and I guzzled water to keep myself up a few times. By the end, though, my faintness was beginning to give way as I got used to it. I was drenched and disgusting, so upon being allowed to change, my first course of action was to leap into the nearest river. I can see how this sort of sickening heat might make it difficult to work, but I was able to nonetheless.
