Prologue:
I feel its needed to explain what lead up to me getting hold of this information. So. The reason I ended up in the lands of the drow was that about a week ago, I went to Magnicia to have a scout around, when I found some of the Bane Chosen people. I made sure to swing my poisoned blade at them, and it viewed to be highly effective. Seconds after, the Queen appeared with some of the purples Duchy people, and loads of people with dragons and other hell spawn. It seemed Sherry (the talking mouse) had gotten information about the bane chosen having activity in Magincia, so they came to investigate.
After the Bane Chosen had been defeated, I told the Queen that they seemed very weak against poison. After a few more words, she invited us back to her home in Yew (which turned out to be just by the cottonfarmers!) to meet her husband Urs. But when we arrived there, it seemed like the place had been smashed, and Urs was missing.
In Magincia we found a letter that was signed "V" so, my suspicions went towards Vierna. I asked the Trinsicans a bit about Vierna and her lot and Kaelyn told me their base could be found west of the road tavern in Malas, on the first island. I was by the duchy, and by my own interest to scout this area.
Localisation:
It was not too hard to get there, I made sure I used my ostard Bolt to help me travel quickly. The night had already arrived once we reached the road tavern. However I did not enter, or go anywhere close it as it might be that the drows was using this tavern, and I didn't want to risk being seen.
I dismounted Bolt and lead him through the forest west from the tavern, his step was very light compared to a horse. We followed along the tree line but did not go into the housed area. Soon enough we reached the first bridge. I decide to pull a bit further back from it. Building up a camp within safe distance from the bridge that lead to the drows territory. I also left Bolt there before proceeding.
I found it to be very quiet as I approached the bridge in the shadows, and to my surprise, the bridge was unguarded. Did these creatures not fear of being invaded?
Walking over the bridge I did not really know what to expect regarding the drow society. Many people had talked of them as being an empire, but many has also doubted their true power and thought that more was being said about them than what was really true.
I can confirm, that the second statement of the above two was correct. The so called "Drow Empire" consists of no more than 4-5 houses and a quiet surroundings. This was the first night I scouted the area. Mapping the houses out and where on the map I was currently at. I managed to find the coordinates for this location for their hideout.

I've ringed in on what Island their houses can be found.
As it seemed rather empty for the entire night, I decided to head back to the camp, and try my luck again the day after.
Tortures:
The second night was more eventful, as I moved through the shadows and passed the big black block of so called house I heard some voices and whimpers from the ground floor of it. Then the screams started, a woman seemed to be in tremendous pain. And it was going on for a very long while. Feeling it was not worth to save her due to revealing myself, I decided to linger about for a few more nights.

Drow activity:
It was not until this Thursday the matters of interest occurred. I had now looked for all the possible ways of entering the larger house, and it seemed that this night, the window by the locked doors had been left open, I took my chance and crawled inside.

Luckily there was none to see me do this so I quickly took a look around the place. In the middle of the larger room I saw a large table with several chairs. Obviously used for meetings and gatherings. That's when I heard the first steps. I quickly rushed towards the throne and hid behind a few black curtains there. The door opened and the drows began to gather slowly, Vierna also appeared, placing herself in the throne just a few feet from myself. I managed to take out a small note and some charcoal, and carefully scribble down what was said during this meeting. What I found highly peculiar was that even if they were all drows, they still preferred to talk the human language. Which was to my greatest advantage. Perhaps their time on the surface have made them adapt slightly to the human society?

From this conversation it can be gathered that its seems that Vierna does not have the whole lot in complete control. The one so called Faeryl had captured a knight templar and tortured her. Which was probably the screams I heard the nights before. Although it was mentioned she's no longer in captivity. Also, it seems it's within Viernas interest to cause trouble in Trinsic between the watchmen and the knights templar as they had allied forces.
The meeting ended with Vierna indicating that they were going to meet someone in Umbra. After all of them had left, I quickly threw myself out the window I gotten in through and headed towards Bolt.
Being the quickest sprinter amongst the Ostards, he got me to Umbra just in time for the meeting to begin.
In Umbra:
Thinking I would had missed out on all possible words of the meeting, it seemed I had just arrived in time for it to begin. It seemed that it was Devante Stirling and Anna Goodward from the Vesper Trading Company that had arranged for this meeting to occur. I followed them as they walked into a tent to continue the meeting.
Their stupidity paid of very well. Having a meeting in a tent made my work so much easier as I didn't have to be inside to overhear what was said. It almost seemed like Vierna was not bothered to even look around. As according to her: "Nobody moves in Umbra without my knowledge", as she so naively put it. What a joke she was to a leader. A female teenage brat was what she came across the more her mouth blabbered.
However, I did manage to write this conversation down as well, as I kept from being seen by her patrolling people. And some of the information proved to be very useful.

From this we can gather that Vesper is currently suffering from a faction war, where both the Devante, leader of the Vesper Trading Company and Damien Bedford, previous leader of the Militia and suggestively the current leader, have entered dealings with the Drows in order to win back Vesper. According to Vierna they've both offered the Drows sanctuary in Vesper should they favour the one of them. It seems that Devantes plan was for the drows to take over the current Covian households.
I knew Vesper had sunk low in its days, but not this low. Dealings with drows?!
And it gets worse.
It seems that the Vesper Trading Company have had a continued business agreement with the drow by selling of slaves by kidnapping people in Yew and Cove to them. Devante seems to be leading this as well, and it was hinted that Rebecca of the Vesper Trading company also deals with it. The Queens husband being from Yew, it may be possible that he's been traded off as a slave. But apart from that, I'm not aware of any more missing persons from Yew. At least now we know where to look, should anyone go missing.
Assassination of Vierna:
The meeting was running to its end. Without any further interesting information. Before they departed I had already head my way back to the drows hideout. Luckily and thanks to Bolts speed I once again managed to arrive before the drows did, climbing through the same open window, hiding myself behind the curtain behind the throne again.
The drows arrived, and some sat down quietly, reflecting on the meeting with Devante, however, nothing that wasn't already mentioned was said. So I didn't take any notes.
Viernas breath could be heard loud and clear from where I stood. It was hard for me to wait around for more useful information to be said. Nobody's untouchable, even if they'd like to think so. She is a lesser being along with anyone else of her kin.
Once there was only one left except Vierna, I decided to put her in the place she belongs. Under my feet.
I pushed the curtain aside and instantly put the kryss under her throat, without saying a word. Looking to the other female drow at the table, I made sure that she was looking while her so called "Mistress" was submitted to my blade. Then I looked back to Vierna. She insisted that I should walk out when I could. In a way she was right. Even if I'd manage to kill her I'd still have the doors locked, another female drow in the way, and who knows how many there was on the other levels of the house?
It mattered little, it was enough for me to show one of her followers that her leader was not untouchable. The rest would have to be dealt with afterwards. I guess that they'd even see it as a disgrace, being bested by a human. Assassinations was in their nature after all.
http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/6481/viernaassassinationfull.png
She surely got a reality check as my kryss penetrated her chest repetitively. I could even feel the tip of the blade hitting the crystal throne through her. She had already reached for her warfork, but alas it was too late. The poison had already made her spasm all over the floor until she finally laid still, where she should be, below my feet.
What happened afterwards seemed very strange to me. Just after she had gone quiet under my feet, I found myself below the signpost of the house. On the outside. Perhaps this was a sign of the higher being for preforming a deed in his favouring? I will have to ask Julian. In either case, my problem of escaping had been solved. I sprinted back to Bolt and headed back home towards Yew.
