Started off the day with my usual sneaking around in my leathers until I came to the keep. If I cared I'd probably feel sorry for Joseph, I think I made him shite himself by popping out and poking him a couple of times though I don't think it took long for Kevin to realize who it was since I spent a good time when I was trainee irritating him in the exact same way.

Speaking of Kevin, I must say I do find him quite the slimey bugger. Just because hes broken up with Holy Swine he seems to think if he supplies me with enough useless gifts that I'll swoon and welcome him with open arms. Ha! Keep dreaming feather boy, its going to take a lot more than that. But I'll try think positive and give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he is genuinely trying to be nice? Maybe hes trying to apologize to me for being a giant arse? No, no, I really don't think so I'll stick to my first theory. Another thing.. wasn't his hair blonde?

Ha, talking of blonde I thought Tim was dead! But it turns out he was off doing some business somewhere. To be fair, he was probably slacking off and buying things with -my- gold.

Rest of my day was pretty medicore, I really need to get my little house sorted as its a complete tip. Radek (the parrot) has shat everywhere, theres loose change scattered about the floor and a load of recruitment papers i tore up to clean the parrot poop up (which i never got round to doing).

I got my Rookie task the other day and I only started it today, I'm getting so lazy. Only one more task to do now though which is going to be a training on plant keeping. My trick is to make it so boring that everyone falls asleep so I can sneak out half way through! Genius, I know.

I did some training again with Shunji today which brightened up my day significantly but thats about it. I really need to sort that house out now, I'll put it on my to do list.

3rd August 2:54am
Usual start to the day! Get up (off the floor), have a wash, eat some fruit and get dressed. No presents outside my door today, no ogre or ettin crap. Was the start to a glorious day (or so i thought) until I was battered by my dumbass pigeon who can't see straight. And of course, what was it? A message from Kevin first thing in the sodding morning.. just what I want. I tried to ignore it for a while but the pigeon persisted so I gave in and replied to the message.

I didn't bother to wonder what he wanted me for by the moongate at such a stupid hour, it could only be two things.. A) To try kill me again or B) To attempt to swoon me. I was hoping it was option A.
But upon arrival at said moongate it just turns out he wanted to take me on a long tour throughout Tokuno and then to some desert so I could get hot and sweaty killing bug creatures. I shouldn't complain though, I think I improved a little in my skill since I was there for god knows how long. I do feel terrible sometimes because I moan an awful lot about Kevin...........who am i trying to kid? I really don't feel terrible.

I got bored of killing those bugs after a while so we went to Homare-Jima and he quite kindly helped me collect some fertile dirt (of course I made him carry it) for my training which I'll get to in a minute. I wanted to go to shame to kill the elementals but -no-, Kevin wanted to go to Homare and we got our arses handed to us back on a plate by some turtle looking thing in a massive helmet! I did manage to collect enough fertile dirt though, I suppose I should thank him, maybe I'll send a note.

My training was pretty good though i made it up on the spot, its just good that the bearded oaf "Job" let me have 10 minutes to prepare my stuff for it. Otherwise it would have been basically ..crap. All I did was really is state the obvious and tell them how to take care of a plant.. it was cute though, someone drowned poor Shunji's pot of soil so I had to give him mine.

I spent quite a lot of the day with Shunji today, we went patrolling to the outposts and we even confessed.. things.. together. Although he confessed he thinks unpure things about Kros I'll forgive him this once.

It was nothing but a constant string of things to do today and although I like to keep busy, I do occasionally like to have a rest for 30 minutes. Kros lead us on some death defying patrol to kill a Balron.. and he wanted us to stand there and take its hits?! Hmph, hit and run is the tactic for such a beast in my honest opinion.. but not everyone can have brains like me I suppose.

Oh and something I forgot! I actually got promoted to Rookie since that training was my last task. And although Robert Tripps kept insisting im useless, it felt quite good to put on the big clumpy metal arms. I just had to get myself prepared for the upcoming war though, so I called that bar wench who's name I forgot and had her make me a load of kegs and bandages. I've stored them all in my place. Oh and I finally cleaned the house up. OH, I must remember to buy Radek some more crackers.. I'll put it on my to do list.

31st August 2:00am
What a crap day, it seriously was a pile of dung. The landlady harassed me today about the rent and she seriously wouldn't leave me alone for about an hour. Told her I'd get it tomorrow though and she finally did bugger off only to trot into the upper room and sob uncontrollably for hours while her children ran around OUTSIDE my room for a good few hours playing some inane and loud game I couldn't figure out the rules too.

I wont lie.. things didn't perk up either throughout the day. I've had a terrible craving for meat pie, but of course, no shops sell them anymore and I can't bake pie for crap! Having said that.. I'm scared to go into the damn kitchen in case depression woman is still sobbing there.

My quest so far has been interesting... if not very disgusting. Navaska had me smear mud and..animal(i hope) crap on myself and I kept it on for at least four days because I didn't see him after the first night. God I still feel ill from it. And the second bit of the task all I had to do was sit in Cove.. was fun.. if not terrifying. I look forward to tormenting those Covians in the near future.. I got a name! Nicholi Peyton Ravnthorn.. it may prove useful.

Shunji's been in Cove's prison for a while, I suppose I better start planning a rescue mission..unless hes dead. Mmm. I'll talk to Floria. I talked to Tim too.. he can be a miserable bastard sometimes.. but I suppose I did dump him for Shunji.. its funny how things turn out though.. isn't it? If only paper could reply. I apologized for being quite vile to him.. was funny it was quite genuine too and for once he didn't believe me. Good on him though.

Before that though I was in some combat event for about 50 hundred hours that was led by Robert.. was alright I suppose though afterwards I was quite enraged (let me warn.. there is quite a few new or old morons around recently) by some goober called Leo who told a trainee to attack a playful puppy! I coulda swiped at the guy because I believe hes a fool. A fool with a higher rank than me though. Better keep my dislike behind quill and parchment. So arrogant and cocky.. picking on that poor puppy.

I had to move from my little rented home.. was costing me too much and I was ending up eating leaves off the trees for dinner with water which was squeezed from moss! Was quite vile though I already mentioned how dire it is (although the house is pretty nice looking) where I live now.

And finally one last point..my plait is getting too long and messy, im having to re-do it every single day. I might get it short..might be nice. I think I will! I'll put it on my to-do list.

Well scrap the idea of making a plan to free Shunji.. he ended up on my doorstep after I'd written my diary entry yesterday and I ended up trying to nurse him back to health. Hes in my bed resting now, I wonder if I've given him food today? Hes pretty burnt and bruised in places but aside from that the only area of concern really is his leg which I think was broken not long ago. The time in Cove's cells must have healed it. I set out to ignore Timothy today, and it went quite successful. Selfish prat. I should shave his stupid blond hair off while he sleeps.

Thinking happy thoughts! It was the medal ceremony thing today and I was quite shocked that I received The Bronze Ankh. In fact I think I almost wet myself as he called me up to pin it on my sash. They shouldn't do these things to me.. the shock will make me go gray. That reminds me, I still need my haircut.

Remember that plant I planted for the training I did? Well.. it died. In fact! It died ages ago and I'm the bloody teacher of that class. People keep showing me their healthy growing plants.. what can I show them? My dead cactus? If I plan on doing part two of that god forsaken training I better grow a new plant.. and not poison it this time!

I'm learning to cook as I've decided I can't live on raw gourds forever.. i'll get scurvy. I tried to bake a pie earlier but it failed miserably and just was a pile of mush in the middle of the dish. When Shunji is better I wonder if he will be able to help me.. never know.. these Tokunese are handy.

Some people outside my room were trying to kill my psychotic Landlady earlier.. I was going to help.. but then I thought I better not. Rather her die than me! Eventually people did come to save her, only for her to be arrested again for some reason which is unknown to me! We'll see wont we? Maybe she'll remain in jail and her kids will die of starvation.. I can hardly wait.

Ugh I need to remember to clean my display swords tomorrow AND under my bed.. its gathering dust bunny's.
