With food shortages the way they are, and raitioning getting closer and closer on many items other than bread, I have decided to take drastice measures to try and make sure that the Militia is fed and that the citizens do not starve.
After a talk with a local farmer and a sheppard I was givern the opinion that the soil might have been infected somehow, so in an attempt to solve this, I lead a patrol of two guardsmen, First Marksmen Longshot and Veteran Besieger Nottingby, to the cave of earth men north of the shrine of Sacrifice.
We killed as many as we can and gathered at least 200 stones worth of fertile earth from their bodies which I later handed over to a farmer to see if this would aid his crops.
However, growing new crops, even fast growing ones such as wheet, would take time to show the effects, if any. So I decided that we should also go on a food raid of the local rat men and pay a visit to the meer village.
It seemed that both had been hoarding a good ammount of food, and it is possible that further raids on the lands may be able to feet the guard more.
I took an inventory of the food gained, excluding alcohol, and First Marksmen Longshot put the pack of food in the trade post.
In total, we gathered.
40 Bread loafs
6 large fish
2 chickens
11 wheels of cheese
71 apples
2 brace of onions
60 pears
2 sacks of soyer
3 cabbages
4 letticues
