Proposal for the Governing of West Yew
I will keep the proposal brief and to the point. The area I wish to govern is West Yew, and I'm confident that I can make money out of the area. In fact it could be self sufficient should should disaster befall Yew. The farmland can be increased, resulting in a larger yield of crops, decreasing the chance of famine in Yew as they are cut off from the bulk of the farms they would be relatively untouched by any blight.
Next the mines. They have never really been exploited. I will have someone take a look at them and see what they could yield and then encourage miners, or better yet a company or union to start work there for either a flat rate, or per centage of the ores.
Shame. Frequently people journey into it's depths and come out with gems, gold, and whatever else they scavenge in it's depths. That stuff belongs to Yew, I shall tax anything that comes from its depths, maybe 10%? Five for West Yew and five for the State. In return they can keep the rest, for the danger and hard work.
The channel. A larger stretch of water is available here. I propose locating a shipbuilder and allowing them to use the natural resources of Yew, namely the wood. We can earn a huge some charging people to use the channel and to build ships from local resources!
