This tavern night, a farmer entered the keep speaking of some strange symptom that his crops were exhibiting. Apparently, he'd seen a man in a cloak along with a dark skinned, white haired lass mucking about in his field recently and he attributed the problem to them. Kevin Longshot revealed that him and Alisza D'gar had been there that afternoon and were planting some strange thorns to attract blue rabbits. Whatever they were doing, it seems to have been the cause.
The farmer offered to show us the damage, and myself, Tommy, Fraser and Longshot followed him up to his fields. What greeted us was a distressing sight in this time of hunger and hardship. All four of the fields were filled with clearly inedible vegetables - the leaf vegetables had gone brown and wilted, whilst the roots were all rotten.
Myself and my besieger bretheren decided to torch the fields with napalm, whilst Longshot tried to comfort the destitute farmer with offerings of food and alternative ways of earning a living. He didn't take too happy however when Kevin insentitively suggested he sell him his house, making the farmer think that it was all a scheme to seize his farm.
We managed to convince him that it was all down to misfortune, but the man was adament that he leave Yew with his family to Vesper. He claimed that 'At least they treat their people right there'.
Hopefully the napalm will have stopped the spread of the crop disease, but we can't rely on that. Now we're down on vegetables and flour, we only have livestock to live off. Some drastic changes will have to be made if Yew is to survive this run of incredibly bad luck.
