I took it upon myself to help the wytch. He needs to be shown the error of his ways and the best way to show him that I feel is by making him practise using a bow. The bow is the weapon of the Yewish from peasent to noble, in all its forms. I put him through the very basics, with practice he will pick up his own tricks, but for now he has been set in the right direction.

He does appear to have some talent with the bow, if only small.

Self defence
With the recent despicable attacks on women throughout Yew it has become obvious that the women of Yew must be able to defend themselves and those around them. It is my social and professional responsibility to ensure that they are capable of doing just that.
The two most effective methods of self defence are perhaps also the most easy to execute in their simplicity:
The most effective method of avoiding a violent attack is to simply not place yourself in danger by traveling alone, at night, or into dangerous areas.
The second most effective method of avoiding a violent attack is to run.
If these two options are not available then you must do everything in your power to prevent an attack and escape.
I would encourage all women to the following principles when attempting to defend themselves:
Basic principles of self defenceMaintain constant awareness of the local environment; be aware of escape routes, further attackers, and objects to aid in your defence.
Counter-attack as soon as possible and do so pre-emptively if the opportunity arises.
Strike accessible weak points of your attacker's anatomy. (Eyes, jaw, throat, groin and joints such as the knees.)
Utilise an unbroken sequence of counter-attacks using speed and surprise to escape your attacker.
Your escape and survival is paramount, do not risk your life attempting to finish your opponent off, if the opportunity arises to escape you must always take it.
Keep moving, do not trap yourself or allow yourself to remain a stationary target.
Strike using the parts of your body that function as virtually indestructible and natural weaponry, i.e. palms of your hands, elbows and heels. Knowing you yourself are less likely to be harmed by your own blow will allow you to throw more force behind the attack itself.
Bring your elbows up above eye level, keep your chin down and your shoulders up, this will allow you to protect your head from all angles and still counterattack using the palms of your hands.
Move laterally so as to remain balanced but not in the direct line of attack.
Attack the head, body and groin blows can be shrugged off with relative ease, whereas an attack to the head, either at the base of the skull or throat can stun an opponent.
Use loud verbal commands to disrupt your attacker.
Obviously whilst not being an exhaustive list the above could seem quite intimidating, however simply practicing the basic principles can force them to become second nature.
In order to demonstrate this I found two volunteers, Amelia, a Trainee within the Guardsmen Militia and my own wife Louisa who was just three days ago attacked by the group responsible for the protest slaughter.
After an hour or so of theoretical and practical training both women were able to escape the situations they had been placed within with confidence and relative ease. Obviously a controlled scenario is no substitute for a true life or death scenario; however I am satisfied as a man who has over thirty years of experience in intensive combat that both women would be capable of defending themselves against most unarmed predators they are likely to encounter.
A further training to assess their ability to counter an armed attacker will be necessary, however with the principles they learned today employed in an armed scenario I am confident they would fare relatively well.

Personal Notes:Try to avoid recruiting volunteers who have a genuine personal beef with one another in future, as their tendency to bandy about such terms as "whore" and "witch" proved to not be particularly constructive.
Try to avoid instructing other women in front of your notoriously jealous wife, especially when both volunteers have a genuine personal beef with one another and will stop at nothing to irritate each other.
