A meeting was called in Britain to discuss the circumstances behind the fires several days ago in the Cryptwood area of Yew. As I, myself had only heard of the meeting shortly beforehand and with no officers on hand to inform of the meeting I took it upon myself to head there in order to represent not only the Militia but the Peoples State of Yew. It wouldn't have done for a meeting to be called to discuss an incident which happened on Yewish soil, only for no Yewish representative present.

So as part of a trio, I took point at the meeting, as the only former officer and having been involved in Emissary work in the past. I was ably assisted by Veteran Besieger Arean D'rem and First Besieger Alexander Fraser.
Before the meeting got started properly I informed Nathan Hawk that the rangers were being treated at the largest of our healers in the city centre and that we had managed to rescue a few. I informed him that despite our efforts, many citizens, elves and wytches were intent on butchering the rangers as we dragged them to safety.

Nathan Hawk informed us that if they discovered the identity of any of the murderers then they would be dealt with accordingly. I am however sceptical but at least he was saying the right thing. I was then asked to explain the events of the night as I recalled them, I did so from the beginning. I told them about the ranger 'Brydon' who told us what was going on and that he must inform the Queen of the happenings. How we were ambushed by trees and naked bints plastered with leaves and then the eventual struggles we had trying to douse the fire to gain entry to the crypts.

Then we had a lot of discussion with the inappropriately dressed civilians who were there about what may have happened, and why the rangers were in Yew in the first place. Theories ranged from a Vesperian attack, an Elven Ambush and some fellow names Mericles. Eventually some bright spark hit upon the idea of asking the rangers themselves what had happened. So we did.

Turned out the rangers had been sent by the Queen for whatever reason. And whilst camping they'd been attacked by a dragon. A huge creature by all accounts. A plan was devised to try and lure the creature to the same spot with a huge pile of meat. Oh and I was thanked for my efforts.
