Considering the recent events with Stonekeep being smashed up and covered in blood, I decided it's about time to get on with the basic cleaning, not just repairs and blood-mopping. Figuring the most used buildings were probably in more dire need of a cleaning, I started out with the upstairs tavern. There were still pots, pans, dishes and glasses standing around from past nights; understandably, as the staff have more than enough work cut out for them as it is. I gave the place a thorough scrub and dusting. Something ought to be done about the rats; it seems they're trying to get lucky in the barrels and shelves. While putting my life at risk, I even climbed out the windows to stand on the ledge and get them properly clean from the outside as well - they sparkle inside and out. The flowers were seen to, as was the dirt caked into the cracks of the boards. All was ready for another brilliant tavern night! At least, until Declan showed up with his muddy boots and stomped all over the stairs I had just cleaned, then tried to scrub them to reap the benefit. I told him off and made him help with the next two buildings to make up for spoiling my polished work.

Next, we decided to give the craftsmen a cleaner place to work. 'Course, it couldn't hurt for them to clean up after themselves once in a while, but I guess it's better not to complain about the opportunity to earn some copper once in a while. All chests were sorted and scrubbed inside and out, and the dye tubs were cleaned once again. I might add that the tiles could almostbe used as mirrors now, and they're ceramic, at that! The loom and spinning wheel are as good as new, inviting as ever to break your back at and spoil your eyesight.
And better yet, all the caked up soot is off the anvil! Fresh coals in the forge, you name it. The dust has been vanquished and the workshop sign shines like a beacon of... errh, supplies.

Last but not least, the trade post was seen to. Surely one of the most important buildings of the Keep, and so it should rightfully look it - which it does now, thanks to a little spit and polish. Pretty much every metal object has been polished to a shine, including each and every coin - which were neatly re-stacked - and the wooden floors swept and scrubbed.

All in all, we managed quite a lot for so little time - and thoroughly, I might add! - with the tavern done by myself, and the workshop and trade post done by myself and Declan O'Connor.
Sincerely,
Elaine O'Connor, Trainee.
