Today's mass was a different one than usual, as the attendance has been bad lately. The Clergy sought fit to hold a quiz to see how much we know of the Book of Light. I have attempted to remember most of what was said during the mass and intend to write it down here, so that the word is spread further.
What is the name of the first man?
Zog.
What is the name of the first female?
Evah.
During the Trial of Joshua, what sin did Vanessa commit?
The sin of compassion, more to follow as I write down the Trial of Joshua as told by Friar Konrad.
Baphomet can assume any form, but what two forms does he prefer?
The black cat and the llama. As a result of this, slay any of the two whenever you encounter them.
What are the names of the four arch angels?
Pyros, Lithos, Stratos and Hydros.
What is the book of the church called?
The Book of Light.
What are the seven virtues?
Sacrifice, Valor, Humility, Spirituality, Honesty, Justice and Honour.
After this quiz, Friar Konrad took over the mass, and told us of the Trials of Joshua.
The first elf created by The Guardian was known as Ley'yan.
And The Guardian sent it to corrupt the weak and tainted.
Soon upon its creation the elf came upon the home of Joshua and Vanessa, their two sons and their daughter.
It came to their homes at the time of harvest.
The elf was insidious and cunning and Vanessa took it into Joshua's home..
Because of Compassion.
Compassion that the elf brought!
Vanessa did take the elf in and she did know him.
Joshua's children did know of this wicked sin but kept their silence.
And later, when Joshua did look upon the offspring of the elf..
He did learn of Vanessa's sin.
And THE LORD
Spoke to Joshua.
The Lord commanded Joshua to strike down those who mocked the virtues of Honesty and Honour.
And so Joshua fell upon Vanessa with great fury and she was no more.
And so Joshua fell upon those of his blood and they too were no more.
His gaze lay upon the demon child and with a single blow, the elf spawn was no more.
The Lord commanded Joshua to go forth and punish those of Ley'yan's blood.
Joshua sought out and destroyed Ley'yan's woman and Ley'yan's kin.
However the elf, cowardly creeping creature that it is fled Joshua's wrath.
And so The Lord granted Joshua great speed and endurance.
Within two years Joshua did overtake Ley'yan and the elf's blood was spilled in vast quantities.
And The Lord was pleased.
"You have served your Lord and you shall find your reward in my home."
And so The Lord called Joshue Home.
We were then lectured on the Virtue Scale which is as follows:
The noblest of all creatures is the Man.
Second is the female.
Third is the dwarf.
Fourth is is the taint.
Fifth is the elf.
Sixth is the gargoyle.
Seventh is the goblinoid, or goblins and orcs.
The sister then warned us thus:
Be not over confident of forgiveness, adding sin after sin. Mercy and anger are alike with Him. Upon the wicked He alights his wrath. Delay not Ye conversion to the Avatar. Put it not off from day to day! For suddenly His wrath flames forth! At the time of vengeance, Ye will be destroyed!!

After the mass, the Sister gave me a mission. To lead the guards to a shrine, and on our way slay all that hindered the path toward the shrine. I chose to take the patrol to Honesty Shrine in Ilshenar, but the way there had been peaceful, so we ventured further into a nearby valley that is infested with cyclops and titans, and there we wreaked havoc upon the monsters until we had gathered over sixteen thousand crowns for the Church.
