With only six participants turning up for the advertised tournament it was never going to be a particuarly glorious affair, especially when you consider that one of these was a women who generally favoured stabbing over swinging. Nonetheless, it proved to be quite entertaining to watch senior guardsmen try to cripple one another with simple hunks of wood, although the amount of cheating involved has brought minor shame unto the revered art of clubbing.
Each guardsman was provided with a standard club and heater shield (except Tanya, who couldn't manage to carry the door-like piece of iron). They were also given 5 bandages per match, and were not allowed to use any more than this amount so that each round would be resolved swiftly.
The results were as follows:
First round:
Tommy Nottingbury vs Kain Raslo - Tommy wins
William Smit vs Tanya Dart - William wins
Bladius Dart vs Robert Tripps - Match suspended after constant cheating; both go through to make up numbers.
Second round:
Bladius Dart vs Tommy Nottinbury - Tommy wins
Robert Tripps vs William Smit - Tripps wins
The final was conducted through a 'best of three' set of matches. Tommy wowed the audience by smacking his opponent to the ground in all three. That'll teach Tripps to cry out in elation when fellow corporals experience misfortune, treacherous swine.

Tommy recieved the coveted orange petal of victory for his effort, as well as an infinitely less important check for 100,000 crowns. Well done brother!
Thank you all who attended:
Besieger Corporal Sineal Walker (Leading)
Captain Bladius Dart
Corporal Robert Tripps
Veteran Besieger Tommy Nottinbury
Veteran Guardsman Kain Raslo
Rookie Waywatcher Tanya Dart
Footman William Smit
