Protecting such an enormous expanse of territory requires quality equipment and quality troops. We have the accoutrements and arms but now we need the army.
To encourage you all to get out there and recruit we’ve come up with a few incentives.
Just like the last Recruitment Campaign, every single person who enters will have a chance to earn a prize according to the work and effort they put in. There will be no solitary winner.
Up for grabs: (Some of these are OOC prizes others are IC, please be smart and use only those appropriate as IC knowledge or topic for discussion.)
115 Powerscroll added to your Hall of Records account for free
A weapon engraved with the message of your choice (within reason)
Two week tenure as your equivalent NCO rank with the potential for a more permanent role
One week title change to ‘Recruitment Champion’
Two weeks as the ‘Standard Bearer’ (Receives a special uniform, weapons and role in the Militia)
Recruitment ribbon (These count towards the Service Cross)
Copper (Up to a 100 Copper bonus)
Gold (A cheque for up to 1,000,000)
Free shield upgrade
Free weapon class upgrade
A month of free food and drink at the King’s Deer Tavern
Free suits of armour and armour repair for two weeks
The Campaign will work on a ‘token’ based system. You will receive tokens for different things you do and at the end of the Campaign you will be allowed to use these tokens to claim as many of the prizes as you can afford!
Aside from the special title prizes (which can only be picked once) you may pick prizes as many times as you desire. The player with the most tokens will get first pick of prizes and therefore more chance of winning the special titles.
Ways to earn tokens:
Construct a 2x2 banner with recruitment book at a populated area (moongates, banks, dungeons, shops etc) - 2 tokens
Construct a 4x4 banner with recruitment book at a populated area (moongates, banks, dungeons, shops etc) – 4 tokens
Construct an 8x8 banner with recruitment book at a populated area (moongates, banks, dungeons, shops etc) – 8 tokens
Construct a larger or more creative banner with books at a populated area – between 10-25 tokens
Man a recruitment booth at a populated area for half an hour – 15 tokens
Arrange a parade/battle training in a populated area – 20 tokens
Run a recruitment themed event – 20 tokens
Personally enlist a new recruit (this does not mean testing a recruit who comes into the Keep, this means your personal recruitment efforts entice a new member to join, they must be totally new to Grd, sign up to the forums and create a Hall of Records page) – 80 tokens
Bonus tokens if said recruit reaches Footman rank – 30 tokens
Personally enlist a new citizen character (this does not mean testing a recruit who comes into the Keep, this means your personal recruitment efforts entice a new member to join, they must be totally new to Grd, sign up to the forums and create a Hall of Records page) – 50 tokens
Convince an ex player to return to Grd for at least a week – 40 tokens
Advertise Grd on an active RP forum (Remember to only advertise in a courteous and appropriate manner, on a forum where it is permitted. Don’t just copy and paste a link into a post) – 30 tokens
Join a RPing group and start a Grd awareness campaign on a social network site (think Facebook, Bebo, Twitter, MySpace) - 50 tokens
Come up with and implement an innovative idea to bring in recruits - tokens dependant on effort and effect (up to a maximum of 100 tokens)
Obviously this list is not full and final, there are many other ways you could earn tokens if you use your imagination – Tokens will be awarded accordingly.
This campaign will run from Today until Midnight on the 14th of September.
