The Vesperians seem to be asking us to try and infiltrate them and are very lax on security. We headed over to Swaggers on Wednesday in the pretence of ‘Pirates night’. Everyone would be in costumes so it would be very easy for us to slip in beside them – even our new recruit Rookie Shunji managed to slip in undetected.

When we arrived the place was filled mainly with Trinsicans and drunken Vesperians who were already a little ‘loose with the tongue’. Rookie Shunji immediately made himself comfortable with the locals and engaged in a bar brawl with Vesper’s Baron (or ex Baron now, he has resigned his post by the time of writing this).

Natalie disappeared shortly after arrival, though I’m informed she is safe and returned to Yew well.

Keys points discovered:


Ex-Baron was in charge of deciding any action to be taken in Minoc (though obviously since his resignation that is no longer the case, definitely worth keeping an eye on who fills this spot)
Cove and Vesper are in ‘talks’, trying to organise some form of alliance against the Militia – (this will be further investigated)
Vesper Militia will be stepping up their patrols and efforts in Minoc.
Swaggers inn is expecting a large delivery of Nightshade in the coming weeks (they also have a supply in their cellars)
All of the Vesperian Militia’s resources are currently coming from Minoc.
Phil Lynx is the Mayor of Vesper.

Gathering the uniforms.

I got into civilian clothes and set out on walk to Vesper. I arrived in Vesper and went into Swagger that we visited the night before. I saw their Baron there and he announced that he had resigned from his position as Baron and the electons were soon. I looked around for militia people and saw none. Then I heard shouting outside, so I went out to see. The miltia there had made an arrest of criminal and were putting it in cell. I waited outside and then the Captain of their militia came out and I had met him the night before, so I re-introduced myself and spoke with him more. I mentioned that I wanted to help fight in Minoc, and that I wanted to sign up to their militia, he wasted no time, did not even ask my name and led me away to their store room.

He passed me a bag with uniform in, and went upstairs to get sheild. While he was upstairs I got changed and also found a female uniform as you requested. I put the male one on and hid the other folded in my robe. He then came back with a sheild and we went and spoke with more militia people infront of jail.

I went back to Yew with the uniforms and put them away until I see you next.

Take down enemy.

Standing with them by jail I saw an opportunity to complete another task. It was a wytch named Loki, I asked him if he would like to patrol Vesper. We headed west towards the town hall. I spun around and knocked him to the floor with a kick and then set upon him with my warfork. He was unconcious and bleeding, I heard footsteps so I hid in a nearby tree. The captain came and began to tend his wounds, he dragged the lifeless body away to their dorms.

One night in Cove.

I set out to cove, I walked to the barracks to find my barings and spied a harpy walking near by, seeing as it was early morning I killed the harpy while no one was around and took it's feathers and meat.

I then wandered south amongst the trees and found a pool of water, I drank from the pool and spotted a nice location to camp near by. Firstly, I wanted some more food. So I pulled a sapling from the ground and shaved off other branches from it. I then sharpened it and made a spear.

I walked to the sea and lured a dolphin towards me, offering it the meat from the harpy, which I did not want to eat. As the dolphin ate I struck it in the back with the spear, killing it instantly. I cut steaks from the dolphins flesh and carried them back to my camping spot.

The camping spot I had chosen was near the pool of water and under two o'hii trees. I pulled the branches of each tree over the area I wanted to sleep and forced them togeather making the branches catch on each other.

I did this for a few branches for made a shelter out of it. It began to snow so I sat under my shelter and began to rub some twigs togeather to try and make fire. Eventually I had a fire going and was able to cook my dolphin steaks.
I sat under my shelter and waiting for the snow to pass, occasionally going to the pool to drink.

The snow stopped as night fell. I ate the dolphin steaks and curled up near the fire to keep warm.

I slept soundly through the night and woke up early in the morning, just before sun rise. I took a drink from the pool and ate the remaining fish steaks on the coast watching the sun rise.

After sun rise I set off on a long walk back to Yew.

After you set us off to kill the dragon for my armour. I took us to Valor as it would be quieter than Destard and there would be less chance of getting ganged upon by many dragons.

I found a dragon after the bridge by Valor and engaged it straight away. I bled it at first and then used kryss to put poison into it's open wounds. I carried this on for ten or so minutes, until there was enough doses of poison inside it to kill it.

I killed it without falling, Annwyn can be witness.

It was mid afternoon when I donned my Vesper uniform, so that if I was caught the blame would be pinned firmly on Vesper. I set out from Yew out of sight and made my way to Cove. Upon my arrival I waited for the patrol of guardsmen to move from the fore of the barracks. I slipped into their barracks quietly.
While on our visit the other day, I noted where their store room was, so it was not difficult finding it. I checked the door and to my suprise it was unlocked. Inside there were many pots of dye and many chests of armour and uniform. I checked the labels and got the leather uniforms of a recruit and the leather uniforms of a junior guardsman.

I headed back to Yew via Vesper so that anyone following would be lead to Vesper. Once in Vesper I took a trip through the city, out of the northern bridge, and then looped around west to come down to the moongate from the north, which would've thrown anyone off tracking me.

I'll give the uniforms to Ma'am Tenne on my next meeting with her.

South of the Border

With Vesper and Cove getting even chummier than we thought possible and being well aware of their penchant for unprovoked aggression once they get together like a pair of pikey drunkards, it was decided that we would sabotage relations between the two, hopefully causing enough tension to at least delay the inevitable alliance.

Having gotten our hands on some Vesperian uniforms, spell books and shields, Floria led us to Cove on a diplomatic mission of the highest order.
Noticing there were few in the way of on-duty Covians, the group entered the barracks and began causing a number of minor breakages and acts of vandalism.
Whilst nothing committed was particularly drastic, hopefully the Covians will see past the lack of damage for the disrespect truly intended by those foul Vesperians.
Much of this disrespect took the form of random fish dumping, picture frame and stool breakages, Vesperian banner raising and Pro-Greenie (some sort of Vesperian deity) propaganda strewn around Cove.

Upon our exit from the barracks we came across a Covian Recruit who told us to leave immediately. We weren't too overjoyed about being told to leave our new province of South Vesper and attempted to settle this matter in the only way a Vesperian knows: gang beating followed by hasty withdrawal.

Blow your house down

Needing heavy explosives after Dangerous Dave's failure to deliver a stock that pack the necessary punch to complete our next objective. Floria organised a meeting with the Besiegers for us to procure what we require and some instruction in the setting of these charges.

With the Besiegers being as nosey as ever, we were forced to talk in circles, so as not to give too much away. This of course involved talking a load of twaddle at times in an effort to give them what they actually needed to assist us without giving them anything they could use against us.

Anyway, apparently the explosives we now have in our possession are likely to cause incredible damage if triggered and are extremely volatile in their current state. So no midnight fumbles for Floria and I in the Tower for a while, not that we ever did or anything... not downstairs anyway.

Now all that remains is for us to perfect our plan of action.

After we left the tower we moved in on Altmere unseen, we approached noticing a roadblock with two doors, one facing north and one south.
I took the south door and Navaska took the north door.
We cleared the doors out, all ran in and floored Hoagie quickly and effortlessly, then moved out back into the woods before the Covians could even get out of their chairs.

I took Kyra away from the keep to train her in combat and evasion.
We worked on predicting strikes of an opponent and then deciding whether or not to strike, or take the defensive option and dodge.
I did training on a narrow dock so that movement was reduced and she did not have enough movements to predict, so that it was easier, and she learn basics.

She did well, managing to deflect my strikes, or take advantage of them.
I plan to do more training to develop the skills.

After my victory in Olympic fighting tournament, I was followed around Vesper by Sergeant Hoagie and his daughter. I managed to persuade the daughter that the Yewish militia was the best way forward. Eventually she was in full Yewish uniform and asking if she could join the militia.

This is not a big step, but it is showing how little respect the Covian youth has for Cove and how easy it would be to exploit where their loyalties lie.

Divine intervention

So after reports from various sources aroused suspicion of the 'barmaid' Amarante being nothing more than a Vesperian spy, Floria decided it was time for us to take matters into our own hands before the wench reported back anything of importance and before she further corrupted Corporal Tripps.
Our plan of action was simple - appropriate numerous Squire uniforms which was actually simpler than you would have thought. The Church has been locked for some time now, however all it took to gain access was a few easily picked locks and the stealthy removal of a few chests of armaments.

Next up we approached Amarante in the middle of Stonekeep whilst dressed in our new disguises. If we had attempted to arrest her in Waywatcher get-up I dare say we would've found slightly more resistance but apparently the sight of seven Templi (granted four were rather petite female Templi but who cares? Maybe they make 'em short and slender these days!) was enough to silently dissuade any defiance.

Anyway, a lengthy interrogation process yielded nothing more than admissions that she was indeed a dirty little slapper, having numerous children by different fathers. The suspicion of her guilt still remains but hopefully this little incident will go a long way to convincing her that she's been rumbled if she is indeed a spy.

Sushi and I ensured she was left dangling, spread-eagle from the balcony of the tavern, arse naked and rather unattractively squidged against The King's Deer window. A fitting punishment for a girl who has probably had her arse displayed in many 'shop windows' over her lifetime.

We started out gathering down at the Cabin, where Ma'am Tenne briefed us on the upcomming work.

I were teamed up with Lucius and on our way to the blue portal. We picked some names.
Lucius used my brothers name - and I went under the Fay.

Furthermore we also sorted our stories - That we were on a blind date arranged by friends..

After our meal and some wine, we went for a walk at the beach before walking back to the portal.

Reaching the cabin again - It seems like we have managed to find us some Suppliers of Nightshade.
All there is left to do is pay and arrangeing the delivery.

Nightshade.

Myself and Kathris went to Swaggers in the diguise of 'Master Dai' and Kathris as my henchman. I spoke with Kiran and got straight to business, discusing nightshade and cost. I also got list of other items he sells, and haggled price down by 500 crowns. We arranged meet up for today to drop off deposit of 2,500 crowns.

Today me and Kathris visited again to drop off crowns, we spoke for a while with Kiran while he counted crowns. He spoke of business in Cove and Yew being difficult due to certain officers, he did not say who, but this mean he could be trading with other people inside militia, or Yew. He also claim that former Swaggers staff are inside Militia.
Also that Trinsic are so lacking in law that trade there is good.

Busted.

We moved to location of pick up with Floria and Navaska Tenne hidden in shadows near by, ready to bust the deal.
Kiran arrived with female, and a hidden wytch, I set about inspecting the substance, insuring all was there. Once assured Navaska and Floria stepped out and held Kiran and the female and knife point, while Smit (The henchman) lead the horse away to Yew.

Kiran armed up and fight broke out, we beat down Kiran and Wytch, but female archer got away.
I shall find her in Vesper and re-claim the deposit, and give her beating she deserves.
