It's heard the women of Cove and Yew are revolting against the Avatarian Church. A few people claim to have seen notices challenging the Church dotted around Yew.

To the corrupt and perverted clerics and priests of Cove and Yew.
Hear this you clerics and priests of Cove and Yew. You have corrupted of the ideals of the Avatar, whom you call the Higher Being to suit your own perverted needs. We the women of Cove and Yew reject your bitter and bigoted teachings. The words in your tomes are not the words of the Avatar, they are not written in his hand, but by others like yourselves. They are a perversion and an aberration and an insult to the Avatar.
The Avatar did not teach that women are “second class” that they are “harlots intent on distracting men” or that they are “not to be trusted”. Nor did he teach that those who are arcanists are wytches and to be burned as such. These are your views, not that of the Avatar. This is clearly demonstrated in that one of his closest companions was Jaana – a woman and arcanist!
Kiss the bare arse of Blackthorn – for that is what you are, covert worshippers of the Guardian!
