Well having seen the notice on the board regarding the criminal and the distinct lack of interest in this task, I decided I'd take "one for the team" and head off the gaol.
After doing a bit of sightseeing at the Court, as I had a little while before the shift was due to start, I headed to the gaol. I signed myself in and spoke to the local gaolers, and located where this knave was being kept.

Having done that I commenced standing watch over the ugly abomination of a creature. I decided that I wanted to change his water as he'd done some business in it, though found the key I was given didnt actually unlock the door. I wondered what on earth we paid the local staff for, certainly not to think. I resolved the let them clean the cell for their foolishness.

I spotted a cell nextdoor that had sustained some damage, and mentioned later to the local staff that they would be well to fix it and clean up the blood stains.
At one point the creature tried to spit at me, but having no talent for subtlety or stealth he gave himself away and I managed to avoid the phlegmatic shot. Fortunately, as it began to eat away at the stones on the floor.

Almost as soon as it had begun, daybreak came and the shift was over. I must say it was an honour to be a part of the wheels of justice, especially for the trial of such a foul and despicable servant of the Guardian.

I thus provided an update to the local staff (one in particular has a bizarre habit of never looking at you when you talk.. gaolers eh?), signed out of the prison, and rushed back to Stonekeep to begin my midday shift.

Today my duties was to do Gaoler work. Well I reported to the court to spend my time as a Guard for the court. My criminal was named Crazy Man. And yes he was.this man was charged to be put to death. Well as the court guard I placed this man under arrest and Escorted him to the Jail.As we walked he tried to talk to me, but I just told him to shut up.
Well this man was charged with murder. He was the one charged with killing 6 monks, 5 livestock, and 2 jailers. He also had escaped for the jail once. Well as I placed the chains on him he then tried to run, and I knocked him off his feet, and chained his hands and feet so he was unable to run. As I neared the jail he cried out I did not do this crime. I then told him it was not my place to judge him that the courts had already done it, and to just shut up or he would get his mouth shut for him.
As we neear the jail cells he again tried to pull away from me, and I hit him with my torch and push him into a cell. The jailer just laughed. After getting him into the cell the jailer and I talked, and the jailer said that it was one of his best friends that Mr. Crazy Man killed. I in returned asked if it would be fine to leave them alone. I also told the jailer not to harm him or he could face the same punishment. Well I desised to just stick around for the jailers safety. Aout 3 hours went by and the Prist come to give him the churches veiw. I asked the Father if he was going to be fine there with someone whom killed someof his friends. The Father explained that he did not hold anything against This man that he forgives all, and that this man had worse trouble coming, Internal Hell. This made me feel wierd and funny.
Then about an hour after this the Royal Court Guards come and took this man to be killed. They said I could not follw them. That where they was going was no place for me. WellI just wanted to know where they was going, but by no mean did I follow these men. The was dressed in shiney armor had swords like I have never seen before and their faces was covered. the man cried out HELP ME. This was kinda sad, but he gets what he gets for killing.

I had been called to do a shfit at the court of truth so I travelled there and made my way to the back where the prison cells were. I guarded the cell which had the prisoner in for a while before someone else came to take over. The prisoner didn't seem to move much and I had some fun tormenting the guy.

*A report concerning 24 hours absence of a Footman lays upon a senior rank’s desk.*
My shift at the Court was a long one. A whole twelve hours were endured in the place, and by the end of it I was a little more than worse for wear.
Beginning first three hours were from six o’clock until nine o’clock in the evening, where I was to arrive and check the entire perimeters of these courts, in order to ensure that no possible unauthorised personnel could enter via any entrance. The place is full of doors, so many doors. I checked the perimeters of the place, and did not find anything to note as out of the ordinary. In fact, the place was desolate around the outside. The only person there that I saw was I.

The second three hours were from nine o’clock in the evening until midnight. My job as stated on the parchment was to clean the actual courtroom where the trial was to take place within the next month. Night was falling, so I lit my lantern and got to work. The room was fairly dirty, as the last trial had taken place quite recently, apparently. According to the man I saw before I began cleaning, there had been a fair few individuals who wanted the convict dead before he was on the stand. There were bits of food and scraps of paper all over. It was a long three hours, and I wasn’t short of things to do.

I was due to begin my jailer’s job at midnight sharp. By now, obviously I was in pitch darkness, and I heavily struggled to find the jails. Because of this, I was regrettably over an hour late. I arrived at the jails at ten-past one in the morning, and the other Jailors were not best pleased. Their shifts were due to end, and I had delayed their leave. Getting to the jails had been difficult. The darkness had not helped matters, and I kept getting lost. The cellars were visited twice, and I seemed to be doing circles and not getting any further. In the end, I found the right route and sprinted along the long stretched hallway. The running was both out of being horribly scared and that I was horribly late.

As I walked through the doors, there was a vile stench. I could not see anything at all, and the windows were as dark as the walls. I only knew they were there due to the fact that I felt a sharp breeze on my face every instance that I walked past one. My lantern was slowly running out of fuel, and I held it forward to take a look into an open cell. The scene was gory: Blood everywhere, bits of bones and rotting food. I quickly turned my back and went to seek the cells which I would be guarding. A lot were unoccupied, but from some I could hear low groans emitting. My reactions had slowed right down, and I struggled to stay away for these long six hours until six o’clock in the morning. Why had I been one of the unfortunate Footmen to get these orders?

At around six o’clock, the jailors returned for their morning shifts and I was told I could leave. The jailor looked mildly disgruntled because he’d lost out on his extra hour’s sleep due to my lost tracks. I just hurried away from the place and stopped outside. I was so tired, and it was a long walk back to Stonekeep. I even considered just putting up camp outside the Court. I think they would have strongly disapproved of that action, however. In addition, I would have still had to endure the walk later that morning.

Well I was given the duty today to stand guard at the Goaler. I took many prisoners to the Jailers but only one stand fresh in my mind. He was the worse one of all. He enjoyed beating little kids, women, and Guardsmen. I wanted to beat him, but the judge said he was to rot in a cell. That we may not harm him. Well the man was so mean the Judge did not even want to be in the courtroom with him. I tried to ensure the Judge he would be safe. The judge had no time for him. Told me to relay the sentance.
This man was sent to prison for no less than 30 years. He iis 26 years of age, white, male, Long brownish colored hair, brown eyes, and full or crap. I asked him if he liked beating on Guardsmen? He repied I get thrills out of it. This mans name is Arturo. His last name is now Jailbird. I took this breast to the cells, and found the wetest and darkest one I could find. Tossed his arse in and even left my chains on him. I feel the Judge went eazy on him. The Judge was a chicken though.
As I was leavingI told This Mr. Arturo that I hoped he died there. Being he beat kids, women and Guardsmen I would only feed him every other day aswell. When I tossed him in the cell he wet all over the place and started spitting all over too. This is why I found the worse cell I could. He was just being an all out arse. Well He has thirty plus years to change his ways. That is if he lives that long.May be the Guardsmen Militia should start prison shifts at the Goaler.
An show some of these criminals how guardsmen treat criminals. An let it be known to the world Yew is taking a stand. That trouble is not the way to go and come to Yew. Let is know we are cleaning up Yew. That any criminal in Yew will be tried and prisoned. An to prove it send out the Guardsmen to start the cleanup. Elfs alike Human if arrested the spent the same time only harder.
When I first got to the Goaler I cleared the outside and then entered into the building. There was many family members from all the ones he had beaten there. As well as other Guardsmen and their families. Poor Damien the Recuiter was in a wheeled chair, Reed the Ex Captain retired because of this man, a Legend of the Guardsmen walks with a limp now this all due to Arturo the Badman. This man just beat anyone he came upon, rumor has it he may even had some help.

Checking the duty roster, it seemed to be my turn to pull guard duty at the Yew prison. Making my way there, I signed in and checked the prisoner log. There were 6 prisoners there, all but one for a minor offense.
As I found the commanding officer, he placed me on guard to the main door while his jailors conduct the patrols. The cold air within the prison made the winter outside look like nothing.
It seemed as though it was hours later before I heard a strange noise. Quickly investaging, I peered in a cell and found a hole in the wall! Yelling for help, the jailors brought the keys and unlocked the door. We quickly rushed in to find nothing beyond that hole. Not a trace!
Resorting to knocking on the walls, we found another tunneled out hole in the wall that was loosly covered. It lead to outside! Quickly we conducted a search of the small island the prison was on, yet there were no footprints in the snow. That left the grass that was protected by the building. Following the trail, I came upon a pair of shorts before the water. Our only guess was they jumped in, the current carrying them towards the sea.
Sadly to say, I hope he drowns. Otherwise another criminal is on the loose. As the investgation and the shift was over, the Warden released me from duty, so I returned home.
