The Valley, The Orc Fort and The Brigand Fort.
Three locations known to house serious dangers.
Whilst the residents of these three locations have not posed a threat to Yew for a long while, it is only through constant patrols of these areas that they have remained in check.
You are to lead a small patrol to one of the above locations to ensure potential threats remain at a minimum.
Rules
This task may be attempted on your own, however you will receive greater rewards if you attempt it with at least one other person
Each leader may only patrol each location once
Reward
+20 Silver for an individual patrol
+30 Silver for a patrol with a partner

Plan: To head to the bottom of the valley and kill all the orcs, ettins, birds and trolls we find along the way.
Description: Being the leader of this patrol I lined Ian up at the stonekeep ready and ordered a double march up to where the orcs start swarming the area. We stopped for a second at the first sign of Orcish movements and started pushing foward at a marching speed killing what we came across along the way.
A couple of minutes later before we knew it were at the bottom already. It felt a bit like a walk in the park because of how easy we were finding it. So we carried on just marching upwards again until we had just passed the orc caves. We were starting to get a bit bored now but realising we had already killed orc numbers in the thirties we decide to forced march it back to Stonekeep to finish off the patrol.

As a couple more guardsmen got to Stonekeep I decided to lead a patrol to the Orc Fort.
We lined up ready at Stonekeep and double marched towards the orc fort. Just before we reached it I pulled the team over to the side and explained I was going to take my armour off and act as a citizen walking into the orc fort. They were to bodyguard me and keep me up.
I set a task once we were inside. The task was that they had to clear the orcs from inside the fort aswell as the orcs all around the outside of it by the walls whilst I stood inside not healing. So if i was under attack one of them or two would have to come help me.
We attempted this task for a while and changed tactics throughout making it better. In the end Eveline would stay inside protecting me using her bow to shoot the orcs on the outside as well as inside whilst Michael Llennoc ran around the outside walls killing them all. We came close to completing the task but the orcs numbers were too great for our number attempting it.
We ran back to stonekeep after a while of keeping their number low but still replenishing.

Well this evening myself and Deranigan was informed that there was trouble on Southwest road. I asked the civie what was the problem. She said lots of orcs woundering around, So Deranigan and I journeied the road. Was we was told there where many orcs and we defeeted there plus there camp. As we killed all the orcs we burned down the camp.
We incountered many orcs but as the team of 2 forced our ways in and took out all the Orcs, We collected little over 3000 in copper. we the scouted around the area and made sure there was no more orcs just running away from us. We killed all that tried to avoid us.
Heading back to SK we did not meet anymore creatures or Civies. We did not have to kill but one harpy on run back to SK which upset me due to it was quite nite.

Today there was a report of Elfs on one of the Kings Highways, So I formed small platoon with 2 trainess and myself and we advanced to the area of the report. We encountered an Elven camp. Wer cleared the road and advanced into the camp. Killing all the elfs.
The platoon was Deranigar Trainee, Amy Jones Trainee, Donnie Footman. I lead the patrol and not one of us got knocked down or out. Before we left I offered Besieger Smit to tagalong. Whom denied to follow along. It would have been nice for him to just follow along , but he must have had more important things to do.
As we force marched back to SK Amy and I took the roads clearing other monsters as Derangan took short cut though the woods. We got back to SK and had a small breifing and I dismissed the trainess.

I lead a patrol to the brigand fort yesterday, the guild's physician Abraham came along and so did Robyn Claymore.
On the way to the brigand fort we took a shortcut through the woods and on our way through the woods we encountered many camps of brigands.
Abraham was doing a good job at healing Me and Robyn and Me and Robyn were doing a good job at guarding Abraham from attacks from the brigands. after about fifteen minutes of hacking through the scum filfth Brigands in the woods we arrived at the camp.
It didn't take long to prove our point at the brigand camp and wipe them out completely and start to make our way back.
We added 1015 gold to the guild's funds at the end. The brigands are really poor people so they don't give much which is why this amount wasn't that much.
From one of the brigand camps in the woods I managed to save one of the civilians that was captured and escort them to stonekeep safely.

I took the new trainee to the orc fort so that he could learn the ropes and get to grips with his sword. We spent about twenty minutes clearing in and around the fort. We also killed various liches, ogres, ettins, trolls and harpies on our way back to Stonekeep.

Master Objective:-
. To resecure Yew in the wake of recent cut-backs in local patrols.
Secondary Objectives:-
. To secure the Tolagāl Valley.
. To provide counter-insurgency training to Waywatcher recruits.
Mission Report:-
On Saturday afternoon, with two Waywatchers and two Waywatcher recruits alone on active duty we set about to put the juniors to work. With the security of Yew's outcrop and the pre-emptive elimination of local threats an often neglected part of Waywatcher mandate; we took the opportunity to drill our would-be watchers on the basics of counter-insurgency.
Trainee Kalia had made an earlier sighting of 'uruk hai' North of Stonekeep and so, using that as inspiration, we started with a mission to the Valley. Initial sightings of orcs were slim and so we fanned out somewhat, encouraging the juniors to use their senses and stay alert - mindful of the threat of lingering orcish foe. Naturally, as we ventured further into their ground the odds of encountering geurilla resistance became greater.
Finally, we broke into orc lines and cut our way through with precision and speed to the entrance of the enemy caves, pushing them back entirely into the darkness.
It should be noted, however, that the orc spawn do still maintain a strong understanding of their valley and used their slight advantage in geographical knowledge to spring an attempted ambush. I wish to report that trainee Kalia and footman Jionas Korsa responded brilliantly and reacted with the utmost calm and lethality in aiding the eradication of the threat.

Master Objective:-
. To resecure Yew in the wake of recent cut-backs in local patrols.
Secondary Objectives:-
. To secure the Orcish Fort.
. To provide assault and fast-action training to Waywatcher recruits.
Mission Report:-
On Saturday afternoon, following an assault on the Southern orc valley, we took our tour of the Yewish teritory West towards the secondary uruk fortification. Approaching from the Eastern side, we met little resistence and were able to rally in the woods a short distance from the camp; in order to plan ahead. Having earlier dismissed Jionas Korsa to carry out his duties in the Keep, we gave permission to recruit Kalia to don her practice leathers and ready for a fast assault.
We spread out around the perimiter and all found points of entry, readying our weapons and waiting for the signal. On my mark, and with commendable haste, we broke silently into the orcish fortress and began the executions. Dispensing crossbow bolts and well aimed kryss blows we dropped the inhabitants in record time and soon had the area secure.
It was then that Waywatcher Annwyn Walker found an intimidating and freshly built siege engine within the grounds of the fortress. There were indications that the machine had been built with the purpose of being turned on human holdings. Knowing that we couldn't leave it in the orcish hands and that local uruk would no doubt return to attempt to resecure the area later, we saw to the destruction of the catapult before making a swift exit.

Master Objective:-
. To resecure Yew in the wake of recent cut-backs in local patrols.
Secondary Objectives:-
. To secure the Bandit Camp.
. To provide assault and fast-action training to Waywatcher recruits.
Mission Report:-
On Saturday afternoon, in the wake of our orcish slaughter, waywatchers of the militia escorted a watcher recruit further South towards the Bandit Camp to continue her training into fast action against fortified positions. With the Guardian spawn bandits somewhat more observant than their greenskinned cousins and their defenses more secure, we opted for a marginally less tactful approach.
Bursting hastily through the front gates with crossbows on the ready we instantly opened fire on the unsuspecting brigands. Distracted by a harpy they had tried to capture, our watchers capitalized on our enemy's confusion and executed not only each and every heathen criminal but the feathered beast as well.
After scouting the area to ensure that every hidden bandit was duly dealt with, we made our way back to Stonekeep via the borders of the Lich Forest. Alert and awares we spotted a number of the undead wytches and capably dispatched them also.

[OOC: Mixed signals on whether I'm actually supposed to do tasks for below my rank. I set about doing so after it was suggested I could but then having already done the patrols before someone pointed out that perhaps I shouldn't I thought I should report on them anyway. If it's deemed I shouldn't be getting copper for doing a footman task I won't throw my toys out of the pram, hehe, it was fun to do anyway.]
