Build new latrines

Some clever bastard thought it'd be funny to make it virtually impossible to approach our old latrines without holding your breath for the entire process.

Whilst it might be more productive for us to send you little bastards out there to clean them, I think I'll reserve such a punishment for the tosspot who made them unusable.

So Trainee you're going to build us some new latrines, I'm sure you're familiar with the basic concept.
Perhaps you have some engineering experience and can create something a little more advanced than what we're usually forced to use.

Rules

This order must be completed in pairs, your fellow guardsman can be of any rank as long as they agree to assist.
You must provide a screenshot in your report, detailing where the latrines are now based.

Reward

+20 Silver per half of the pair
Up to +15 extra Silver for an imaginative design or report.

Nothing much was going on, early last night. Found Annwyn in the middle of Stonekeep and asked her if she could help me out, building a new latrine. She was fast to take the - what would soon be know to be a - challenge.

First we needed to find a good spot.

After finding a good spot, we started chopping wood, which turned out not to be the hardest work afterall. It turned out, the design itself, was harder.

Annwyn was making the crates we should use, which ended in one casualty - the poor saw, may it rest in peace.

Finally we settled on a design, and while Annwyn was fetching some good reading stuff to spoil the latrine's next visitor, I started digging a hole.

And made a warning...

Finally Annwyn came back with the book, and we were finally done!

Well it started off a lovely day round Stone Keep. Then, a smell drifted down. Smelt like a besieger had just used the old latrines..
So I decided to build a new one. Troy was in the vicinity so he held things for me whilst I hammered and sawed.
I started off by digging the waste holes required for two latrines, Besiegers and normal folk.

Then came time to set up the different stalls.

Troy Felt it necessary to test the facilities before we commited to the final build..

Time for me to test now.. Good bye.

With tavern activity picking up, it became more necessary than ever to keep fresh latrines as hygenic as possible, and easily accessible from the tavern and keep, without being close enough to spoil things with the smell. Originally, I asked Guard Kevin Longshot for help, but with time several others came to aid the toilet construction. The following contributed:

Bryan O'Connor, building crates for the walls
Guard Kevin Longshot, helping with woodcutting and wall construction
Waywatcher Annwyn, helping with woodcutting and construction
Trainee Jonathon Davids, helping with the woodcutting towards the end.

Kevin Longshot was kind enough to try them out, and, in a fit of great hunger, empty the holes.

Hopefully now less walls shall be soiled within the Keep.
