Story
Captain: "Oddly enough Smit I'm pretty convinced that goat herding isn't a recognised Olympic sport."
Smit: "Oh." *Frowns*
Captain: *Hands him a list back* "See if you can come up with a sport that doesn't involve livestock."
Smit: "Yes Sir."
Captain: "And Wilkes! I'm pretty sure you'd be our only medal hope in Olympic voyeurism."

1# Hurdels using locked down small crates and having to drag them to pass through them so as if you were jumping over.
2# Olympic Relay race using differnt coloured crates as baton's that need to be dropped infront of the next person before they can start running.
Idea for the track, farm patches and road North of Stonekeep runn several laps around.
3# Olympic Swimming race, create a bath or perhaps make one on the patch of land we'll be using.
4# Olympic chess Tournament/checkers(For those that don't know how to play chess) Two best of each city/town play, trials can he held at an event earlier in the week to find to candidates.
5# Olympic fencing competition using foils (Kryss) no fancy moves and no healing with limited armour supplied by us. Dyed white uniform (Ninja mask, doublet, long trousers, boots and gloves all in white) best of three rounds (Perhaps use best weapon skill Kryss or fencer's only).

Wrestling.
We build a ring using a house plot to avoid people running and best of three rounds decides who goes to the next round. The final is best of five rounds.
Marathon.
Running from Stone keep down to Britain and back to Stone keep. Runners must stay to the roads (unless otherwise stated).
To ensure fair play, we place several manned check points on the route who the runners collect a 'ticket' from. Players must have all 'tickets' to complete the course.
Power lifting.
Players start with an empty pack and a pile of logs. They must move the logs down the course. There should be more logs that can be carried by one person so people should make several trips.
- This also could allow us to use a handicap system where if the raise is between someone with 25 str vs. 125 str, the stronger would also have to carry some ingots to even the balance.
Animal Fights
Not sure of this one but we could have chicken or sheep fights. Players sign up in advance and can bring there own pet, which they can train. No healing allowed, just pure chicken vs. chicken, sheep vs. sheep, cat vs. cat.

Archery contest
There's no Olympics without an archery tournament, two to three persons in the archery range at the same time and the best score qualifies to the next round and so on until there's a winner. If the score is the same on two people, one arrow will be shot again, until one gets a better score (golden arrow).
Jousting
Contestants would me mounted on horses with lances and some heavy armour. They'd have to ride past each other and try to knock the other one down from their horse.

Javelin, Hammer throwing, Boxing.
Boxing speaks for itself.
Javelin/Hammer Throw: With a UBWS spear/maul the person runs up to the line and hits the judge. Whatever the amount of damage is they do is how far they've thrown (Say, 27 points worth of damage becomes 27 feet)
We could also do sailing races
Fencing could be used aswell. Must only use fencing class weapons and first person to incapacitate the other wins and continues to next round

I'll only say this once Orc Ball. It's like bag ball but you use an orcs head and it's full contact to the extreme including stabbings with no armor.

While sitting on the porch of the King's Deer eating my lunch the idea for a new sport came to mind.
Basebomb
Basebomb is a bomb and bat sport played between two teams of up to nine players each. One team is the batting team, the other is the fielders. Each team will have two goes in each role.
Note: The bomb must be one of very low explosive yield. The case will be ball shaped reinforced leather with a weaker area designed to channel the 'explosion' and release the coloured smoke.
The aim of the game is to score runs by hitting a bomb thrown by the bowler with a bat. If the bomb explodes upon contact with the bat the batter is out and the fielders score two points.
If the bomb does not explode upon contact with the bat, and assuming it is a valid and legal hit, then he must run to first base (or as many as he thinks he can clear without being caught out). The fielders must try and secure the bomb and get it to a base BEFORE the batter (or any other active runner) reaches said base. If they do, or if they catch the initial hit, then the batter is out and the fielders score a point. There are four bases in total, forming either a ninety-foot square or diamond.
Every time a batter returns to home-base the batters score a point. If a batter scores a home-run (defined as running from a batting position to home-base within the same move) they score two points.
If a bomb explodes upon impact with ground, or in travel when the batter was the last to touch it, the batter may walk to first (or return to first if he has already gone by it).
If the bomb explodes while being caught the batting team scores a point and the batter returns to the dugout.
If the bomb explodes while being thrown by a fielder the batter and all members of the batting team currently on the field, may walk to the next base without danger of being ruled out. If this means one or more end in a scoring position then that point is doubled.
The game is officiated by an umpire and two linesmen.
Once all members of the batting team have had a go the teams switch.
All fielders must wear protective gear in the unlikely event of injury.
The team with the highest score after each have had two rounds batting and two rounds fielding wins.
OOC: I was thinking dice could be rolled to determine the chance of a bomb exploding, though I'm not sure currently how we can represent the variable distance a ball could travel during a game like Baseball. At first I thought a player could play the 'bomb' but that would be open to cheating. I'll keep thinking about it, though I'm 100% sure this will not be picked :). It seems more of an 'IC sport' rather than something we could realistically play both IC and OOCly, what with all of the limitations in UO kinda strangling the core idea.

You send the Lumberjacks out you give them 5 minutes to gather as much wood as they can. Every Jacker has a pile near the judge where they must have all their logs by the time the final whistle blows.
